Is EVERYONE as down on the Islanders as the ones on the HF message boards? Those fans were negative before the game with their posts. From what I've been seeing on TV and hearing about the Isles, your team played a much better game than many expected. Our coach was complimenting the effort and said he'd told the guys the Isles would come out stronger on the road becaue they don't have all the fan "distractions" in the crowd. I think he was right. They played a solid, smart game last night. :)

Now if only they'd called up Smith for that game I would have been the worlds happiest girl ever. ;)

I will compliment their effort last night. It was MUCH better than it has been lately and Dubie has been solid, coming in after our top two goalies went down. Apparently, Shawn Bates also went on a bit of tirade after the 3-0 loss to Carolina on Saturday because he's the freakin' man.

I think the whole losing eight of our last nine games thing has gotten to me. Plus, the effort in quite a few of those games have been nothing short of awful.
